This actually happened more than a week ago, but i didn’t wanna write about it then.. because obviously i wasn’t pleased at all when it happened.
2 weeks ago.. on a Friday.. the usual day .. that was my free day at the store.. since i had Keegan to babysit… i ordered chinese food with dear Mr Choo from the new restaurant at 5.30pm, since i was already getting hungry. At 5.45pm, the girl at the restaurant .. called to say.. that she didn’t know what i had ordered “beef hor fun” .. so she wanted me to speak directly to Mr Choo, which i did. Being a Friday and all.. i can understand that he was very busy.. so when he said.. food would be ready at 6.15pm.. i readily agreed.
6.15pm came and went.. i sent PB to collect the food at the chinese restaurant.. which was about 5 mins walk from our store. PB came back.. without the food.. citing that Mr Choo had waved him off.. saying “busy, busy now..!!”
Knowing PB .. he “malu” mah..!! go to the kitchen to collect food.. and then kenna waved off.. like some “wanderer” asking for food. So i can understand his “malu-ration”. I didn’t say anything then.. and let it be.. but boy ..!! i was very hungry.. but cannot bitch right..?? because not PB’s fault what….!!! At 7pm .. i told PB he should get some food for me.. from somewhere else.. but PB still called the chinese restaurant up.. to see if the beef hor fun is ready. The cashier who picked up the food.. told PB .. she thinks it was ready in the kitchen.. so off .. PB went again.. and came back empty-handed after 10mins.
Well.. this time.. it was because the food wasn’t ready .. and he needed to wait for another 10mins according to the kitchen.. which would prolly be another 15 – 20 mins.. before they can get the food ready. So PB told the cashier to cancel the food.. because he was going elsewhere.. to get food. Yup.. 5.30pm – 7.20pm .. and still no chinese food..??
Yup.. !! we understand you are busy..!! Yup.. !! we understand.. beef hor fun is not in the menu..!! Yup..!! we understand .. that you have to take care of your dine-in customer.. !! Yup..!! we understand.. i’m chinese.. like you are..! But we are paying customer too you know..???!!??? 10 bucks for a plate of beef hor fun is not el cheapo food either you know..!! not like we were asking for free food right..??
