Yes.. it was almost spring weather today.. and a good thing too.. because this darn furnace.. didn’t wanna work properly.. and it’s a good thing that we have 3 extra heaters.. running on electricity.. in case something like that happened again .. in the store. With the almost spring weather like today.. we didn’t feel cold.. but i knew something wasn’t right.. although .. PB only discovered it at almost 5pm. JOY..!!
Snowed All Day
What a terrible day today is..! so cold.. and snowing out all day. Weather forecast had said it was -5 .. but it sure feels like – 15..!! yup.. below freezing points folks..!! think you will like it..?? not me.. thank you very much ya..!! you can have all the snow you want.. in Asia. In fact this winter.. it seems alot more worst.. than last..! and it sure came early though.
Brrrr… rrrr
Brat and I stayed home today.. because it was so windy.. i think it just might blow us away. Wind at 39km/hr .. it gets so chilly.. sometimes.. i wonder.. why we are here during the winter. Is love really blind..?? I often wonder.. how come .. i never thought it out properly .. during the first few years in Y-town.. ?? On days like that.. it suxs so bad.. even turning up all the heat in the house.. it seems cold.. one can really use the warm sunshine in Singapore.
So pray tell me.. those who migrated to shitty weather places.. ?? why did we do that..??
Weather Still Good
I checked the weather.. and it’s still going good..!! woohoo..!!! that only means one thing eh..?? going to the CITY..!! WOOHOO..!! DHAMRA SUSHI and DIM SUM here i come..!!
This is our first mini vacation.. after so many years. And no worries.. about the store.. and staffing..! No morning employee..?? no worries.. we still survived.. and it has been almost a year..!!

Gloomy Skies
For the next 6 months or so.. the weather here is gonna look like this..! the sun will be out for a few hours.. sometimes none. And the winds suxs big time. Today though. the winds came from the south.. so it wasn’t bad at all. But once the wind comes from the north.. yer’ll know it’s horrid. You know staying here in Canada.. sure made me learn a thing or two.
Raining All Day
Yes.. first Hurricane Noel.. and then the weather was somewhat clear on Monday .. and today.. ??? it rained the whole day..!! cats and dogs..!! Oh boy..!! it suxs..!! everytime i need to go out of the store.. to get a coffee.. or lunch.. or throw some garbage out.. i get wet..!
It just suxs big time.. that it gets wet earlier every year. This is the fishing season.. and with this much rain.. i really fear for the fishermen in our county. Not only that.. if the fishermen donch bring in the lobsters.. like they are supposed to.. it would mean that the businesses in town will be affected.. during the holiday season..! Sure suxs..!! big time.
Dangerous storm heads to eastern Canada
“People in Atlantic Canada are expecting heavy rain, strong winds and possible electrical outages as the remnants of Hurricane Noel hit the region this weekend.”
As at 4pm this afternoon . .the rain intensified.. and it is truly nasty out there. We closed our store at 6pm this evening and told Keegan to stay home and be safe. Glad we didn’t go on our “Eat My Way to Halifax” trip. The full brunt of Hurricane Noel is gonna hit us later on this evening.. and we donch know how much damage it will cause us here in Y-Town. So I am gonna quickly post this up.. so you all know that we are safe as at 7pm .. NS time. The skies turned from bright blue to dark black and rain began pelting.
Summer All Over Again
It was summer all over again.. for us yesterday. Freaky.. ?? very..! one day it can be so windy and freaking cold.. the next.. it’s nice and warm out like yesterday..when we stepped out to go to the store.
Oh.. donch get me wrong.. but i love it.. but it can be quite a damner.. when one minute you basked in the sunshine.. and the next you’ve gotta dress up.. like eskimos. Go figure..! this is Canada.. eh..?
The Leaves Are Turning
The weather is turning colder right at this moment and I’ve always wonder in amusement when the leaves turn red in color. They are of course very beautiful. My FIL loved to show me.. the different colors of the trees.. when i first came to Canada. A few years back, we used to go on road trips.. just to see the trees. The leaves changes color because it need a break after being so busy during the whole summer photosynthesizing, using sunlight to convert water and carbon dioxide into sugar. And if a tree is sick .. it turns color way too early and that means it doesn’t have too long to live. Very interesting eh..?
It’s Summer Again..??
I was just complaining about the weather turning cold a few days ago.. but boy! was it warm today.. it’s almost like summer again. I hear it is not only us here in town that experienced the warm weather today, apparently all of Nova Scotia had good weather today. I think we must be closed to 3o degrees today.
Poor Aida from Nunavut was already experiencing snow last week. Bummer..!
