While we tell Chloe to toughen up all the time.. because she whines for the littlest thing, it’s time for moms like myself to toughen up too. Why..?? because it is Chloe’s 2nd day in her new school – this morning – she cried a bit more.. and i had to accompany her into her class .. and like any mom, i tucked my heart .. to see her this way.
At her break time at 10.15am, we headed to school to send her lunch .. and to take a peep at her. Her teacher discouraged us to go visit .. so that we don’t get her all stress up but you know being a mother is hard.. and one that had problems with the ex-school – well even harder. Sure i want my daughter to learn to be independent but this school is new – she ain’t use to the teachers, the place, the school, the other students yet, so it’s only natural for the helicopter mom in me .. to wanna hover over her.. and hold her hands. But having said all the above, she was fine .. when we saw her at break time, she even used her fingers.. to show me a heart shape – our secret code.. for she loves me.. and i love her .. kinda thing.. and pointed towards the car to ask us to go. So yes..!! time to toughen up mom..!!
