And My Journey Thru' Breast Cancer
I love fruits.. and if i could eat them everyday for a meal.. i would. But because i am diabetic.. i have had to cut down on all fruits. Fruits are expensive here…! this small cup of mixed fruits.. is at $2.99 .. about RM$10 and these was from a grocery store. Not a restaurant or anything. Fresh pineapples are expensive at $5.99 a pineapple .. wherelse back home.. you can get them for like $1.00 or in Bangkok .. a cup of fruits like that probably cost like $0.25.
This Sunday.. we woke up early enough .. to go visit Mickey D.. ! And plus the brat did sleep the whole nite.. and we really wanted to train her to eat outside food.. so off we went.. to have breakfast at Mickey D’s .. 🙂
Hey..AnnieQ .. the wrap and reuben wasn’t all we had.. we had pancakes for the brat.. but as expected.. she did not eat it at all. This is a banana pancake… and i didn’t touched it either.. because i was up to my eyeball with my reuben. Guess who ate it in the end…???
Finally some relaxing time.. and i started off with coffee..!! Coffee was pretty good.. and you can choose between cream and milky.. 🙂 I chose milk lah. of course..!
I had written earlier that we were at Misha’s Cafe last Sunday right..?? As soon as we walked into the cafe.. we saw Tom.. with this huge ice cream..!! And this picture doesn’t do it justice.. because it was huge.. and definitely value for money. .like i said. And for Chloe’s ice-cream… i know they didn’t charge as much.. because .. the total bill came up to really reasonable. Oh .. and if you are wondering who Tom is.. he is someone that PB knows.. from when Tom was really young. This is a very small town.. like i said. .and everyone knows everyone.. ! For the 1.5hrs that we were there eating.. we met quite a few ppl dropping in to get some ice creams mostly.
Yes.. and it’s only the beginning of the week.. and PB already cooked two meals for the brat .. because i’m having my menses. .and the first 2 days.. is always bad. So being the good Papa .. he doesn’t really like the brat to eat too many outside food, he cooked beef stew for the brat on Monday and today .. he made hamburger helper with chicken instead of beef.. because he knows i donch like the brat to eat too much beef.
Yup.. very the “chee tong” one.. no need to ask him to cook .. he did it this month.. without me having to be “mung chang”. So i’m pretty pleased lor.. can’t complain lar.. and gotta pick my battles lor.. 🙂 Oh btw.. i eat the beef stew.. but i’ll never touch the hamburger helper.. and to be honest.. i donch know why… i just feel not healthy lor.. hahha!! silly me.. i know..!
Lobster house..?? or a snack bar..?? or an ice palour..?? Actually all 3 .. to be exact. This kiosk are very popular here in Nova Scotia. And that last Sunday .. we went out for ice cream.. because the usual Cook’s ice cream.. at Hebron was serving strawberry soft serve and not chocolate.. 😉 ya… PB is very particular about his ice cream.
I have to say these looked absolutely delicious right..?? And no again..!! i didn’t taste it..!! what a waste..!! blame PB again lah..!! of course..!! I think it is some sort of bread.. with plum sauce in it. Oh .. this is from the food tasting series I am doing .. in conjunction with Seafest that we celebrated last week.
Looks like every asian is taking this food tasting very seriously.. as you can see… this lady is in her traditional Korean costume. Wherelse the rest of the participant.. didn’t put on anything special… well .. except the arcadian ladies. So you can see how we the asians are so proud of our heritage.. 😉
I think this dish was a Jambalaya if I am not wrong.. but again i didn’t taste it .. but i hear it was good.
