Strawberry Cheesecake that i bought from The Colony when having my late lunch there on Tuesday. It doesn’t look so fantastic.. but it sure tasted good..! i could eat another one.. !!

Sorry the shake picture wasn’t that clear…! the shake made me shake..! hahahhaha!! ok.. lame joke..!!

We had a voucher to The Colony for a really long time.. and we never seems to have time to take a leisure lunch.. or dinner.. to make use of the voucher. So we did today.
My spouse had a chicken gordon bleu.. while i had a surf and turf. Coffee for me.. and a chocolate milkshake for him. My spouse didn’t finish the chicken.. although he said it wasn’t bad.. but my surf and turf was so-so. .the beef wasn’t the best. And they charged me.. a side serving for onions ..and mushrooms. .on top of the steak.. can you believe it..??? and it’s not even the 3 bucks.. but it’s just so stupid..! Oh well.. ! good thing.. it didn’t really cost us a cent.. hahahah!!
We’ll stick to soup and sandwiches .. the next time.. and the service staff wasn’t the same few that works there.. so .. it was just so-so..!

I wasn’t that hungry.. but i saved room for home-made dessert by my mother-in-law, Olivette…! An apple pie and a pumpkin pie..and some coffee ice cream.. courtesy of Aunt Helena.
Verdict: Yummilicious..!!

Thanksgiving dinner at my in-laws..! I wasn’t that hungry..so i didn’t have much.. but i know that my spouse really liked the turkey tonite. Our brat had some too.. grammie blended some into the potatoes.. but she didn’t quite want it.. and puked.

I donch often eat sandwiches at home.. because my spouse buys white bread.. and everytime.. i eat white bread.. i feel so unhealthy..! yes.. yes. i’m crazy.. !! finally today.. while out shopping for groceries.. i remembered to buy whole wheat bread.. and i told my spouse the reason.. hahahhaha!!
And tonite.. while eating my toasted whole wheat bread.. i feel absolutely no guilt..!! hahah!!

Usually we have a really decent lunch at The Colony, but my bad today.. i just went ahead and order a soup and a sandwich .. thinking that it was gonna be BLT. But to my surprised it wasn’t .. and i hated un-toasted sandwiches..! And the mushroom soup.. too too creamy for my liking.. !
Oh well.. my fault .. i guess for not checking what kinda sandwich.. otherwise.. i would have ordered grill ham and cheese.. 🙂 And for some reason .. today’s coffee was stale.. the first cup anyways.. i had to ask for another.
Bummer eh..??

A few weeks ago, I had some lebanese food from a little cafe call .. Little Lebanon. The avocado salad was great.. unfortunately the beef kebabs were tough .. the rest and salad would have gone nicely if the beef were good. This meal came with pita bread too.. which i only ate 2 because of the tough kebabs. I guess if i had eaten there, maybe it wouldn’t be this tough..??

For dessert of course i ordered the Baklava.. and they were divine.

Now tell me if this doesn’t look like the meepok we have back home in the hawker center..??!!?? Yummy..!! i had this tonite.. for supper..!! woo hoo..!! with fishballs and some of my MIL’s beef that she gave me yesterday.. 🙂 Yummy..!!
Yes.. i cooked them myself.. with what Sarah brought back from Halifax for me.. and made my own sauce to go with it.. 🙂

My spouse decided that we shouldn’t eat burger today and try something healthier.. so we decided to order chinese.
I haven’t ordered Hot & Sour soup for a long time.. because it was quite disappointing the last few times i had it. So i decided to be brave today .. and give it another chance. I ordered 2 egg rolls for me.. and another 3 for my spouse. for that was what he wanted. Take-out bill came up to $11.85.
Unfortunately, i was once again disappointed by the soup and the service.. for they again over charge me for the food we ordered.
I didn’t take any pictures.. but the soup was miserable.. and watery .. and had no substance..! what a bummer..!!
Luckily i had tom yum noodles.. which is way less expensive.. for dinner and i’m determined never to order at this chinese place again.
