Blessed are customers like GG & GL!!
Today.. i got a special package delivered of half a dozen of tom-yum cup noodles. Yummy..!!
I gave 2 to Tank.. for i know that he must miss spicy food too . by now.. since he didn’t go back to Taiwan this summer.
GG was up in Halifax for business and i had asked his son, N if GG would pick some up for me .. and he DID..!! i didn’t expect him to.. but he was just too nice.

Grammie was in today for babysitting, so my spouse brought me to a little restaurant in town call Little Lebanon to see if they have one of my favourite dessert – Baklava. Upon reaching the restaurant, the menu was pasted outside one of the windows. I was excited to see that they do have the dessert. So we went in and order take-out, 2 pieces of Baklava at $1.50 each + taxes.
When i saw the Baklava .. i wasn’t too excited.. hahaha!! wasn’t really what i was expecting i guess. I mean look at the ones that Reid from Ono Kine Grindz had posted on his blog. Anyhow, i waited for my brat to sleep and i tried the Baklava. Guess what..??!!!??? it was heavenly..!! yummy, yummy..!! i can’t believe it tasted so good despite the presentation. Definitely better than the Tiramisu i had a few months ago from another restaurant.
So yes.. i will definitely go back for more.. and would try a meal soon. Yay!!

Blackberries picked by Uncle Richard (BIL) on Sunday, for my MIL to make jelly or jam. I tasted it .. and it was pretty nice. Obachan from Obachan’s Kitchen & Balcony Garden and Lisa from Olso Foodie would have certainly love it.

This is what i like for my meals, a vegetarian udon, with Nori, babycorn and tofu. Dennis & Phan from Asian Vegan would be real proud of me. I can eat this on a everyday basis.

Did I tell ya all that I had some Lotus Roots from the goodies that came back with Sarah .. my new worker..?? Yes.. she brought back some for me.. and i made some soup last nite. .with red dates, kei chi, stewing pork and dried scallops.
Yummy..!! I had the whole pot within 2 days.. so you see how greedy i am.. 🙂

My spouse and I went Paktohing on Tuesday. We had lunch at Rodd Colony today .. since Grammie came to babysit. It has been a real long time since my spouse and I went out to eat .. like eat, eat.. without having the little brat all over me.
So yes.. once again .. we are grateful to Grammie.

PS: I didn’t use the garlic for the watercress but i used “kei chi” a red tiny thingie. I donch know what it is call in English. Maybe Lilian can translate for us ..eh..??

Sarah our new employee was up in Halifax last week.. and had so kindly picked up some chinese groceries for me.. up in the city.
I’m having a blast.. just eating them.. and making watercress soup last nite.. ! Hell..! i haven’t had watercress soup for 4yrs now..!! so i finished the whole pot .. and didn’t even save some for my exchange student .. who is working for us.. kekekekek!! You can imagine how grateful i was to Sarah..!!
Oh well. next time.. i still have enough to make another pot.

I went in to ask them, if they serve authentic Szechuan since that was what they had advertised at the front of the restaurant. But was disappointed.. when the wait staff told me.. that it is not authentic.. because they cannot get chinese vegies in Digby…??!!!??
But she assured me.. that the szechuan anything is quite spicy.. and that beef and ginger sounds is authentic. Hahahahah!!!

I made my MIL cook some fresh corns for me on Sunday. But these were too ripe.. and weren’t as good as the ones i had 2 weeks ago.
