I sounded out my MIL about us thinking of going back to Asia…. since the economy .. and the workers we have are anal.. and i really do miss home too and the food of course..!! .
I know my in laws wouldn’t be too, too happy if we go back to Asia. For one thing.. i will be depriving them of their only grandchild .. and also their eldest son. I know my in-laws will miss both of them ALOT..!! and as much as i hate doing it……. we might just really have to go back to Asia for our sanity sake, for i cannot get over the fact.. that the EMPLOYEES are always right.. and protected by so many shitty laws here….. be it the Human Rights or Labour Codes. The employment laws are not FOR the employers.. that i can tell you. And I hate the fact.. that it seems that I’m always doing the fighting for the business. I feel very vulnerable here… ! I feel like my hands and legs are tied here.. with regards to our workers/customers.
Did you know that the money-back policy is being so abused …. that ppl not only take advantage of it.. they can even scream till they are blue.. if they bought the product.. open it.. and even when the product is opened.. and used.. and working fine.. they can just ask for their money back..????? Only reason they need to give you is.. they don’t want it anymore. A simple change of mind.. is all that is needed apparently. But for small business like us.. we just cannot afford to have this kinda policy in the store. Therefore, you lose some business because of your no-cash refund policy.
It is really, really hard to have your own business….. because the government and all government bodied organisation is for the customers/employees.
We pay taxes till we bleed.. and we work 7 days a week…….. but what do we get..?? some shitty workers.. and some shitty customers.
Last year alone.. Papa BoK paid $16K in taxes..!!! $16K..!!!!!
I make more than Papa BoK in Asia.. but i NEVER ever paid $16K in taxes…the highest ever was only 9K and that itself.. my company paid that for me.
We do not live luxuriously here.. we live comfortably. Papa BoK has not have an upgrade for his computer for 2 yrs now. When his monitor broke down.. he took a used one .. from the store.. and brought it home.
I haven’t bought anything expensive for the last 4yrs.. not because we can’t.. but because everything we make goes back to the store.
And guess what..??? The government gives ppl who does not work a single day in their entire life…. and who has 5 children or more.. for welfare.. about 2 – 3 K a month. Yes.. you heard me right..!!! just for doing nothing….. 2 – 3K..!!!!
We work so hard..and what did we get..???? A room full of shitty workers..!! who can be ignorant .. rude.. and disrespectful.
So yes.. maybe.. it is high time.. we moved back to Asia……. where the values i wanna instill in my DD .. and not be worried about how to act like professional adults.
Any job openings out there..???
PS: This town is so small that newspaper we get is only published twice a week, the Friday’s edition is so pathetic.. that we donch buy it at all. This may give you an idea.. on what civilisation is over here.
