More Gifts From Advertisers

Now that I’m vlogging with Youtube, I get more stuff to try out in collaboration with different advertisers than before. I still blog but vlogging has been going so well, you cannot imagine how busy I get during the day. The courier companies knows us well before but now, they think that someone out there must love us a lot since packages comes in for me almost everyday.

Received these in the morning and not only am I paid for trying out these Korean cosmetic and the new winter make up , I also get paid for doing it. Plus youtube plays pretty well too – I’m pretty stoke to tell you the truth. Coz’ I didn’t think that as a vlogger, you get so much exposure. But I have to thank my PR company for all the arrangements that they do for me.

Chloe said we might need a bigger house because 1 room is use for my filming alone.

I’ve Been Busy

Yes, I’ve been so busy doing a little traveling for work to Seattle lately and haven’t been online a lot. But I only go for a few days and rush back because I don’t want to be away from Chloe too long. Between vlogging and signing up for a book deal and of course writing all about migrating to Canada as a minority (asian) it had kept me so busy that I cannot be at the store all the time now.

Nevertheless, I’m enjoying every moment of this new experience and making a lot of connection with some advertisers as well as my communications people. The only cons is that I have to be away from the family from time to time but I think most things are pretty much organized now, therefore, I can do my work from here and send them all my work over the internet.

Vlogging is so fun and it’s so rewarding. Life cannot be better ! did we tell you that we bought another property for investment? yup! it’s been an exciting summer!

A Gift From PB

My skin is really dry during the winter, so when I mentioned to PB that a local salon here carries it, he bought it for me after I had my facial.

The body butter is different from the ones that I’ve been using and for the price of this bottle, I’m hoping that it will help to ease up my dry and ugly looking skin.

Definitely nice to have a spouse who can afford all kinds of things for you. I may miss home and the food but it certainly balances things.

My Favorite Kinda Shoes

My shoes came! woohoo!!! i loved this shoes so much and had wanted to get a pair for the longest time but because of the custom charges, I am adamant not to pay a lot for custom. So I waited for it to go on sale and it really did and for the ones that I wanted.

And I didn’t have to pay for custom because it came by USPS and not by Fedex or UPS. Love ! love ! love! and yes, it’s all leather there.

Spoilt To The Max

I finally got to open the goodies that I had bought from Halifax some 4 months ago during March break. Yes, I had been so busy with all the things that were gifted to me by friends and advertisers that I didn’t have time to look into the stuff that I had bought some 4 months ago – such a slacker I am. But it’s actually only because I’m so blessed with all the things that Chloe and I have been receiving from friends, home and advertisers, so there was no hurry at all to open the stuff that I had bought.

But here they are, cosmetic and skin care products that I had thought I needed when I was in the city with my g/f and family. Oh plus , I did go for a trip to LA for GenCon , so I had a lot of goodies that I had brought back with me too from sponsors.

New Hair Color

So I finally found time to go get my hair colored. When you are 49, all that silvery white hair starts popping out everywhere, so after several attempts to get it done at the hair salon, I found time to really do it.

Loved my new hair color, a little bit reddish right now but I’m sure it would tone down after a few rinse. I figured at nearing 50, it’s ok to be bold and try different things. My hairstylist did a great job, she was quick too and everything just went so smoothly and i was in and out of there in an hour plus hair cut. Only cost me $67 + tax.

Jewelry Shopping For 20th Anniversary

We were in the city a few weeks ago, during the March break, PB and I took the opportunity to look for a good Lazare diamond for our anniversary. 20 yrs together is no easy feat like he said, so we look at rings and I still wanted a Lazare or nothing. Yes, I’m quite fussy when it comes to diamonds and gold jewelry. For diamonds I only want the Lazare diamonds and gold I only wear the 916 gold.

And yes, we did find one that I fell in love with immediately and PB bought it for me without even asking for the price. It was worth the money we paid for it because it shows how much he really wants to celebrate our life together. And this ring will be passed down to Chloe of course and to her daughter and so forth. I look forward to many more years together with this man.

Gifts From Advertiser

I did a review on a night cream for an advertiser in the States and today I received a surprise gift from them. I wasn’t expecting it because they had already paid me for the video review and beauty products are a sure hit with all my readers on my youtube channel. But they were so sweet and wanted to thank me for my unbiased review and they had gotten so many good response from the review, so they wanted to show their appreciation.

The packaging was very nice and I wondered what it was inside too.

It was an Estee Lauder perfume set. Pretty neat eh. I love my job!

Kid’s Fun Is Good

Many months ago, my publisher asked me to comment on kids going to spa and having a manicure and pedicures with their moms. While I go for manicures and pedicures whenever I have the time, I never bring Chloe along with me. Well, occasionally I bring her to paint her nails with her girlfriends on special occasions but not often because too much, too soon is not good according to my mom. Maybe, we are old fashion or maybe, it’s because we want them to stay a kid as long as we possibly could and not rush them to grow up.

I don’t let Chloe wear make up or lipsticks even on special occasions, she can get her nails painted but no coloring of her hair either. Why? because too much chemicals on a kid’s face, lips or on any part of her body, cannot be good for them, so my dermatologist girlfriend told me many years ago.With all those harsh chemicals that are in nail polishes, make up and hair coloring link to cancer and reproductive problems investigation, going el naturel will be the way for Chloe for a long time yet.

On top of all the above concerns, PB doesn’t want me to send the wrong message to the kid, in his opinion, too much too soon might send an inappropriate message to the kid. Exposing what is meant for an adult is like rushing them to grow up and they won’t be enjoying their childhood as much as they should. Plus, all kids are beautiful on their own and I want to teach mine that she is beautiful without needing anything else and that inner beauty is much more important. So when Chloe came out from the computer room with a paper cutting like the above and doing funny actions, I cannot help but be glad that she is still child-like at 10 years old.

Christmas Comes Early

Guess who is so lucky? Christmas came early for someone this year. Someone must be very good this year ! hehe! No need to be envious, I’m sure you will get one too if you let the spouse knows what you like all year round or if he knows you as well as mine does. Yes, I’m truly blessed – I cannot ask for a better spouse, not only because he buys me anything i want or I like but because he listens to me and he talks with me and we plan everything together. We are not spendthrift but when we do buy something, we know that it’s of good value and it wouldn’t go to waste.
