Yes.. we are officially moving everyone!! to Main Street..! we got the new lease.. and named our conditions.. and got ahold of our present landlord.. and gave him our moving out notice already.
Yes.. i will miss the big space we have in our present store.. but having visibility .. and the traffic is more important.
So yes. .wish us good luck.. as we move on to a new adventure.. and a new setup.

My worker told me today . that whenever .. she tells ppl that she works for us.. ppl would always say.. “you work for the chinese lady who talks alot..??” hahahha!!
And sometimes customer/ppl would ask.. “does your boss (my spouse) ever talks…??” in which she would reply.. not as much as Big BoK..! hahahhah!!
That’s such an appropriate answer i thought..! hahhahaha!!
Yes. i admit .. i am very noisy..!

My hiatus reason is due to the fact that after telling my worker on one Sunday and spending an hour with him teaching him what we thought were obvious mistakes not to be made EVER again, the same worker just “apa tidak” and would have made the same obvious mistake that we are trying so hard to avoid, if i wasn’t there.. and didn’t spot the mistake. On top of it, he was still blasting the music, making excuses for things not done or done wrongly… and for several shift he is on.. he was in the washroom at least 15mins at a time.. and several times a nite .. having to lock the store.. and losing our customers for us. And it is not just once or twice that he did that.. it’s like almost every shift. Today, he even came back to the store, just to use the toilet when he didn’t feel like working.
Customer do not wanna wait 15mins for the staff to go to the toilet, and not just once a day .. mind you.!!
We can bear that he is a slacker.. but he was also making the same mistakes over and over again.. like the other
worker we had.
Today, he told another worker that he didn’t feel like working even though he was on standby.. so i told my worker .. not to get him in.. if he doesn’t wanna work. Why should i pay someone who doesn’t wanna work at all..?? i rather do it myself.
The ppl we have working for us are just incorrigible..! And i take my hats off to the toilet worker of ours..! For someone who is too lazy to work.. but is able to come back to the store to use the toilet..! Just too funny..!!

Yes.. we have been busy.. with running around trying to decide if we should move our business to a busier street .. and forgo . .the huge space we have or wait for another opportunity to come along.
Busy with our workers.. !
Busy with the babysitter. Busy dealing with my CS neighbour.. who came by the store one nite with problems with his puter.. and making us close later than usual.
Busy with paying bills .. and catching up on our sleep.
Busy with planning to spend time with Chloe’s Godma .. who should be here today.
Busy with working more at the store.. and planning for Halloween decor for the store.
And we will only continue to get busier .. because Christmas is just round the corner.. !!
But can’t really complain much.. since the spouse is helping with the mopping of the floors without having to ask him.. and doing the laundry as well. So he was rewarded to some gaming time last nite.. while i took care that the brat didn’t get in the way of his raid session..!

Hey..everyone,

I am going on a short hiatus due to the business. I am continuously bogged down by our worker’s problems, be it sick leave or other silly reasons.

I’ve been very tired.. and easily irritated.. and irrational with my spouse at times.

So i’m taking a short break.. to re-focus on our goals.. and our expectations for the business for the rest of the year.

Please do not worry about me.. i am fine. Just need to get rested.. and re-focus.

Our morning worker called this evening to let us know that she is still sick and will not be able to come to work. Called another worker to see if he can stand in, but he can’t .. he got plans already. One we didn’t wanna call even if she can work.. coz’ she was the one we are worried that might make more mistakes. Luckily, another one can work in the evening, so that’s good.. but not that good.. coz’ this worker love to blast the music and the tv at full blast. And yes.. we’ve spoken to him.. and told him not to.. but everytime.. we come into the store.. the music is at full blast.

He is abit slack . if you know what i mean.. but better than the one who keeps making mistakes.. and his own rules .. i guess.

So slack versus loose money.. i choose slack.

For those who claims that this job is difficult .. and it’s the little things that they cannot remember.. they are just STUPID..! that’s my conclusion.

Working at our store.. is the easiest things… just some common sense and work.. meaning .. spend some time cleaning.. and re-arranging inventory.

Meaning, do not rent anything to anyone without ID .. do not take out late charges for customer when they do not pay it. Do not set up ppl who already ripped us before. Do not set up customer who do not have proper ID.

One of my present worker ask me.. why we needed credit card.. when it is only a movie the customer is renting. He said.. it is ONLY a movie.

Can you believe that..?? Movies cost us money too.. you know.. ! if the customer do not come back with my movie .. i need to know how to reach him.. and charge him.

But nope.. my worker thinks it isn’t necessary.. and decided that it is ok not to get a credit card from the customer.

If working for us is hard… then he/she is not going anywheres.. for sure.

I realised that all our workers that we’ve hired .. only knows ..in their mind.. “I want, I want” and if things do not go their way.. then it is ok.. for them to say .. they are not coming to work.. even though they have already agreed the day before .. to work the next day.
