Yes..! i’m diabetic for those who don’t already know. But having diabetes is not the end of the world.. and it doesn’t mean that you have to turn down desserts either. there are healthy ways to satisfy that sweet tooth of yours. And there is no need to feel guilty every time you salivate over cakes, pies, parfaits and puddings. There is no absolute .. no-nos.. for people with diabetes. Homes In New Jersey
I was at the Bank of Montreal this afternoon and met a Chinese couple and their son from New Jersey (I kid you not). They were originally from Malaysia and it is always good to see an Asian face in town because you get to chat in Chinese and it’s great to somewhat connect to home. According to the couple, there are quite a few Chinese families where they come from. Now that’s comforting to know if I was thinking of re-locating or doing business there.

My first time wearing sandals this summer.. i thought it was a good idea.. to take a picture of my family and I together. Nice way to remind myself.. what we mean to each other.. and have some fun.. looking outta the box. I can never ask for a better family. We’ll always be there for each other.. and count our blessings. What about you..?? Are you as grateful as I am .. for having our family together..?
Cadillac
When you think of a Cadillac, you can’t help but think of quality and for me at least, the movie “Grease” immediately comes to mind. Yes! I saw that movie in the theater 8 times! Yes, you can call me crazy. But my grandfather used to drive a Cadillac and he sure loved that “thing”… that he called his wife (bless his soul), therefore I can identify with a Cadillac. The Cadillacs have come a long way from the classic styles to the now trendy and sporty ones for the younger consumers, and other models to cater to the family man or the housewives ferrying their kids to school and piano classes and sport games.

Needles Done!
Thank God..!! we are done with the 2 needles that Chloe needed before going to school. We want to think that we are that kinda modern parents… that let the kid know what to expect..and why we are doing certain things. In other words.. we like the “reasoning” part of bringing our kid up.
So 1.5 weeks before the needles.. we started painting the scenario to her.. and explaining to her.. why she had to have it.. and how many days more. Of course, she would bargain.. and she didn’t liked it.. but she didn’t kicked up a big fuss either… because we just didn’t pushed it.. we went with the flow.. and we tried to give her examples of other kids she knows that had it done.
The day arrived.. and yes.. she did puked after the needles .. and there was some crying.. but i really think she did very well. The crying didn’t last for more than a min and another minute of puking.. and she was calmed down.. and she played with the toys.. and all. Thank you all for being so nice.. for saying i have great skin.. and great finger nails.. yer all are too nice lah.. 🙂 but truth be told.. the pictures you see below.. are completely make up free..! i haven’t put on make up for more than 8 yrs now. After Chloe was born. .sometimes.. i’m in such a hurry.. i forget to even put on cream on my face. And recently because of my surgery.. i really haven’t taken care of myself at all. So yes.. my face is completely naked.. of make up or anything else.. except for some lip gloss and a dab of color.

The Art Of A Good Union/Marriage
So what is the art of a good marriage or union.. ?? we all know that in any relationship.. it is an uphill task. Having a wedding ceremony. .and a reception . .and for those from home.. a huge wedding dinner. .in the fanciest restaurant.. is just the beginning. .and not the end of all the hoo – haas with your life together.
I don’t professed to be an expert .. or a old timer.. but i think a good combination of having a spouse and the in-laws who don’t get all agitated or upset with little stuff.. may be the key to a good union. PB and the in-laws. .they don’t sweat the smart stuff.. on top of everything.. they don’t interfere. The man is not tied to his mother’s apron strings .. that is a plus too. Plus, he doesn’t get all worked up.. when i am.. so we are never in the same fight at the same time.
What is your deal with a good marriage/union..?? pray tell.
A Big Box
There are awesome ppl here in Yarmouth .. although we have had our fair shares of not so good ones too. But today .. we received a huge box of goodies that the brat loves so much . . and we are forever grateful to our customer for bringing it back for us from Halifax. Can you guessed what we had..?? You can’t imagine what this simple food can do to someone who misses home so much.. and so very deprived of food from home. Check it out here.
My Simple Philosophy Of Life
I was telling PB today.. that i have a very simple philosophy of life and it’s only one. Very simple.. very easy to remember.. and everything else pale in comparison. Can you guess what it is..?? Share with me.. what is your ultimate philosophy in life with me eh. For my one and only philosophy in my life is “nothing else is more important than my daughter”. As soon as we get home from work.. we take care of her first.. and nothing else matters. Groceries can wait.. eating for ourselves can also wait. First to take care of her needs and wants.. and the rest can come. So what is your most important philosophy in your life right now..?
