Honory Citizen

“Citizenship Week in Canada runs from October 15 to October 21. This is the 60th anniversary of the Citizenship Act.Canada occasionally bestows an honorary Canadian citizenship to foreigners of exceptional merit. It is a symbolic honour and does not give the recipients any rights, privileges or duties typically held by Canadian citizens. As of 2007, Canada has bestowed the honour on four people, the latest being Aung San Suu Kyi, the Burmese pro-democracy activist. “

Heard something about the honorary citizen before .. many year ago.. before coming to Canada. And never in the life of me.. did i think that I myself will be applying for citizenship here. Strange as it is.. fate does take a funny turn in one’s life… and one never knows what your future will be. Which reminds me.. that even though i can plan alot of things for my brat right now.. but it’s entirely up to Him .. up there..and fate… what the brat will be.. and where she will end up. For all you know.. she might marry someone from Singapore..and move back to Asia. Now that would be ironic… eh..?

Thoughtful Gift

This afternoon, Keegan (babysitter) came into the store..and handed me a gift. A very thoughtful one.. i’ll have to say. You see I love home fragrance oil but because we haven’t been to Halifax for so long, I can’t get any here locally… because there is no Body Shop here. And Keegan knowing that.. since i’m outta it for a few weeks now.. she bought me something similar to what i am used to.. from the Body Shop.. orange flavour.. and from her own pocket.. not expecting that I will pay her back for it.

Now you tell me.. isn’t she thoughtful..!! We are indeed very lucky to have Keegan. She is never whiny.. nor does she demands for anything. She does her job well.. and dependable. And she is only 17..! alot of those that we’ve hired before isn’t even half as good as she is. I only thank God.. again.. and again.. for Keegan.

The Bliss Is Not Over

In any relationship, it is an uphill task. Moreso, for a marriage because you really get to know each other, after living together. And it does get alot tougher once you have children. With work, children, housework, the in-laws and sometimes the out-laws, it can make ones relationship with your partner a very taxing one. The once upon a time, when you cannot sleep without hearing his voice.. or not seeing him at least once a day.. is no longer there anymore. Kim & Her Baby Jasmine

Kim is yet.. another customer turned into a friend. She works in the hospital.. and every year.. during Christmas.. she will not forget to bring a present for Chloe. Chloe loves her presents from Kim.. and the dolly that Kim gave her for her first christmas.. is still Chloe’s favourite. A few days ago, Kim came with photos of her to-be adopted baby.. so proudly so .. as a parent.. to show me. Baby Jasmine will be celebrating her first christmas here with us in Canada.. as a Canadian.. this December. I am very excited too.. and to be honest.. when i saw Baby Jasmine picture.. i was quite shocked.. but she does look like Kim..!!

Children from China.. are very blessed.. because there are quite a number of them adopted by Canadians here. And like Sarah – Gerald’s daughter.. i know Jasmine is gonna be very loved.. and truly blessed. Kim is gonna be a good mother..!

Package With Love

This is the second package that came this month for Chloe and I. The first was from Irene from Alberta – Bit & Pieces and now another big package from USA. This is from Chloe’s Auntie Greenapple.. (to-be-chinese godparents) , inside were goodies for both Chloe and I and another very thoughtful gift of wedding pictures and a CD of her wedding. Wait i post all pictures up later ya..!

I was kinda afraid .. that it might not arrived.. because this isn’t the first time.. Greenapple sent gifts of food.. and presents to us. But i guess it took so long.. because .. custom stopped it.. as it wasn’t declared. So they opened it up apparently.. and kept it there for a few weeks longer.

Thank you very much.. Greenapple..!! we love all your gift.. and chloe is very amused with hers. Pictures to follow ya.. 🙂

UN embargo against Burma

“This is a government that uses its weapons not in self-defence but against its own citizens”

Marches are being held in several cities across Canada to mark a day of action in 30 countries in support of the Burmese protesters. Will the United Nations Security Council slap an arms embargo against the military junta in Burma? Burma’s pro-democracy demonstrators were fired by the military and arrested thousands including hundreds of Buddhist monks. Thousands has signed up calling on UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to help win the freedom of pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi. Have you signed up to support them yet..?? I have.
