Walnut & Raisin Bread

Bought some walnut and raisin bread.. as soon as i sported them.. they don’t have it in the grocery store often. These are really my favorite bread.. 😉 You see half a bread right..?? that’s because i can never get to eat them all on time. So either i would have to freeze it.. which i really donch like.. or I will bring half of it.. to my in-laws. Aunt Helena loves them.. but i also know she bought some lately.. after trying the ones i brought to my in-laws one sunday. I love both the raisins and walnut.. and they are really expensive.. about 3.19 for a loaf.

No Rest

We will not be getting any rest day for this Saturday because Keegan is going to visit her b/f in another town. As you all know.. her b/f is away.. for school. It is quite taxing .. with Keegan gone.. but she had babysat another day for us during the week to make up for going away this weekend… but we still won’t be able to shop on a Saturday.. like we have had planned.. because we need to work full day.. like any normal day.

So if i donch get to blog hop this weekend, you’ll know why. And I really hope Kate have a good time. I know she is so looking forward to see her b/f even though .. he was back only a few weeks ago. Well.. you know when you are in love.. all else donch matter.. and you just want the time to stand still eh..??

Best Cook In The World

The things a child say.. can really warm your heart so much.. I sometimes donch know where she gets it from.. or what i did good to deserve such a good and smart and warm loving kid.

This evening… while feeding her some “chinese” noodles.. the brat turned around and said this to me… “Mom.. you are the best cook in the world..!” muahahahhaha!! you tell me.. that doesn’t shocked you first.. and then warms your heart so much.. you just wanna drop everything and cry… and hug her..! I was very tickled too.. and you know what.. chloe is so sensitive.. coz’ she knows exactly what we need to do at work.. or on the computer.. and she takes in just about everything you say.

Tonite.. i didn’t spend time on the puter.. because i didn’t have anymore work to do. You know what Chloe said to me.. “Mom.. you have no opps to take..??” .. muahahhahaha!! You tell me lah..!! how can all these smartness not warm my heart leh..?? I’m forever grateful to the ONE up there.. for giving me such a lovely kid..! and all i want for her is to be healthy and happy always. AMEN..!

GodMa Not Coming

I had written that chloe’s Godma was gonna visit this week right…but there is a change of plans.. she ain’t coming.. anymore.. because she just got promoted again.. and she needs to fly out to someone for training .. so she came as far as Halifax with Aunt Helena.. and then went to PEI (Prince Edward Island) for a few days… and then she turns around.. and fly back for her training… on Tuesday. Bummer..!! we’re gonna miss her.

But congrats.. Godma Lynn..!! On other news.. Uncle Garth and Aunt Sandra should be home soon from their Europe trip.. ! can’t wait to see all the photos..!

Did We Forget..??

It’s September 11, a day that everyone, in every country remember this day, a day that shook the world. A day of extreme sadness, if i remember correctly. 6 yrs ago today.. 24 Canadians were killed in the 2001 terrorist attacks, it was indeed a very sad day for the world. There is not much said or printed today .. in the news, are we all remaining vigilant in the fight against terrorism..??

Till today, it still evokes anger and sorrow in me. Even though i am not on American soil, I still take it personally, when I remember that fateful day. It was uncalled for and it only proves that we will not tolerate terrorism. Did you and your family observed a minute of silence, for those who died in the World Trade Center..?? We did.

I kid you not.. when i tell yer .. my in-laws treats me the best..! Here we have Japanese cucumbers.. that my FIL grew in his green house for yours truly.. me .. 🙂 all because he knows i love it..! it is very tiny.. the cucumbers.. about 6 inches. And like any Japanese cucumbers.. they are sweeettt..!! and even sweeter.. that my in-laws think of me all the time. I am truly blessed.. and count my blessings everyone of them .. and daily.

Cheeks To Cheeks

I have never met Vien personally .. nor has she me. But I owe Vien big time.. for her generosity, her thoughtfulness, her friendship .. and her very commendable “non-judgmental” characteristic.

I’ve only gotten the pleasure of knowing Vien after we started visiting each others blog. The blogosphere is really an amazing place donch you think..?? Her unconditional friendship .. saw her going the extra mile and beyond for me.. during her work trip in Canada .. to buy me food from home.. and send it to me.. all the way from Toronto although she is in USA. And a whole boxful of it.. mind you ..!

From that act alone.. i knew .. i would be forever grateful to Vien.. and would cherish her friendship.. because .. she didn’t have to do it.. and i didn’t even asked her to. She just did it outta the kindness of her heart. Throughout our friendship.. she has been nothing but the greatest source of encouragement to me. She even took time to go online with her Belle, so that Chloe and I can see Belle. Now ain’t that sweet or what..??

Well.. folks.. Vien just moved from her old blog to Cheeks to Cheeks.. so do go visit.. say hi.. be nice.. and give her some traffic please.. if haven’t already. Insurance For Your Baby

This is not a paid post!

Ever since Chloe was born, i cannot help but keep thinking of buying her insurance.. and other funds to invest in, so that she can be ensured or assured of a better future and not struggle like some of her peers would.

But because of running a business.. and having to constantly due with ex-employees .. who did not helped us but had given us so much trouble, we had to shelf the idea everytime. By the way, I have to tell you that Chloe’s dental and medical is covered by the government here till she is 16 yrs old. Therefore, what i am thinking is her beyond 16 yrs old.. and also her education fund. Education is expensive here.. if she wants to go to college, and i really do not want my kid to start off live with a debt.

So yes.. coming back to her insurance and a sorta trust fund. We had just spoken to PB’s insurance fella.. and he had given me some options. I am seriously considering it. So I am asking all of you to give me your opinion. What do you think is the best kinda insurance or investment plans for your kids..?? do you have one already..?? if not why are you not getting it..?? Or am i the most paranoid mum around..?? Tell me your honest opinion ya.. 🙂

I kid you not.. when i told you .. that we had quite a few visitors this summer..!! Baby Drake came to visit..!! And just look at my lil’ brat.. how happy she was..! You would think she strike lottery eh..?? Baby Drake is the baby of Lisa and Jason, long time friends and he is truly a fighter .. because at a young age of 8 months.. he has gone thru’ several surgeries. This is the first time I am seeing Baby Drake.. and he is absolutely handsome, cute and charming. He kept smiling at us. We love you .. baby Drake..! and want you to stay healthy, strong and always happy.
