Municipality Says Who Cares What You Think !

“The municipality of Yarmouth will proceed with plans to build a new administrative centre in Hebron–but not at all costs. Unofficial estimates for the structure have come in at about 4 million dollars. A price that has angered many ratepayers. During a regular meeting this morning councillors discussed concerns that were raised at last week’s public meeting. Most around the table agreed that proper office space is needed for staff and the public and that the muncipality’s current location, the courthouse, has outlived its usefulness. Warden Bryan Smith says on amalgamation, as far as he’s concerned, it’s a dead issue right now. Warden Smith says as far as the proposed new building is concerned, he says councillors and residents alike must keep an open mind.”

Possession Of Stolen Goods

I am rather cheesed off with the cops here.. why..?? because once again.. they are just GREAT..!! pun intended..! As you all know we trade and sell stuff at our store. And when someone comes in to sell something to us.. we try our utmost best to decide .. if they were stolen goods or not..! yes.. ppl do come in and sell us stolen goods.. and if for any reason .. we suspect something is not right.. we wouldn’t even wanna have anything to do with it. Like I said.. many a times before.. PB and I are pure cowards.. we never dare to do anything that is remotely against the law.

So here we are being the good and law-abiding citizens that we are.. as soon as someone comes in .. and say they have their stuff stolen.. we look thru’ our records.. and help as much as we can.. and even pull out video shots of those who were suspected of selling us stolen good… in our own time.. at our own expense.. thus losing out on the money we actually paid out for those “stolen” goods.

I’m This Close to Going Home..!

Everytime a customer walks in.. and we discussed about the new building in Hebron for housing 13 municipality employees.. that will cost the town $5Million .. with terraces, childcare center.. and a gym.. that gets my blood boiling..!

Why..?? because the town.. should use THIS money.. to better the town.. and not to better their butts..!! If the town if able to bring the town.. to a flourishing one.. SURE..! by all means.. spend $10Million .. for all i care.. but this is not happening.. at all..! The town do not need another spanking new building to house some fugleys..! The town needs more important stuff.. FIRST..!! say .. another new school..!!! a drug rehab..!! a youth center..!! so kids don’t become drug runners.. for those drug dealers..!!

Yes.. as you can see.. i’m this close to packing up.. and going back to Singapore..!!

More Money For the Doctors..!

The Nova Scotia government has put an offer on the table that aims to prevent doctors from withdrawing services from intensive care units in rural hospitals. Health Minister Chris d’Entremont says the province is waiting to hear back from Doctors Nova Scotia. The doctors want parity for rural doctors with their urban counterparts. Some rural doctors are threatening to walk off the job.

Ya..! like they need more..! I really donch understand.. how this walking out thing..! everyone who wants more pay in Canada.. just needs to go on a strike.. and it’s not just the doctors.. it’s everyone..! The ppl in the hospital.. the Aliant ppl.. the shipyards..!! God damn it..!! I wanna go on strike too.. to strike all these out..!!!

Disgusting does not even describe how i feel about this person. How can ppl be so low-down.. as to keep telling lies after lies.. to just get a few bucks.. !! and cursed their son sick..?? all the time..! It Disturbs Me

It really irks me to no end.. when i see a mother walk casual up and down main street with the baby in a stroller.. and a hand holding a cigarette and smoking her lungs out. For a man to do it .. i can only say.. “ya.. fathers are stupid..!” but for a mother to do it..??? I think it is worst than being stupid. I’ll say.. it’s being irresponsible.. selfish.. and dumb..!

As a mother myself.. i could never do anything deliberately that might harm my daughter. And we all know smoking in front of a young kid or any kid.. might cause the kid to have asthma.. and whatever not..! yet.. these ppl would do that .. to a kid ..who is hardly a year old.. and have been doing it.. since the baby was born. It is more than being irresponsible.. i’ll say..! i think there should be a law.. against.. smoking right in front of the kid..! Mothers or Fathers .. like that .. should be fined heavily.. or kick in their asses real hard.. if you ask me..!

A Public Meeting

A public meeting last night in Yarmouth drew over 100 people, most of them, vehemently opposed to plans by the municipality of Yarmouth to construct a new 4 -million dollar administrative building in Hebron. Most people who spoke last night pointed the finger at council for not being transparent and spending taxpayers money on a building that isn’t needed. Resident John Daley said the fact that so many people packed the council chambers and stood outside in the hallway, shows peoples displeasure. Barry MacGregor, executive director of the Yarmouth YMCA, said the council lacked transparency on the issue. Deputy Warden Brian Noble said he was against amalgamation and said the current courthouse building cannot be renovated cheaply. CJLS will air a call-in program on the issue this Sunday morning at 9 on the CJLS Weekender.

Are We Really Getting A Carrier Here..??

We haven’t had a plane come into Yarmouth for years now.. all because of various reasons.. not enough passengers going and coming into Yarmouth International Airport. We used to have a flight going to Boston.. that’s the reason why it is call International Airport..! but if you see how small this airport is.. you’ll laugh..!

I hear Yarmouth MLA is heading to US for some talk with some unnamed carrier. So are we finally getting some traffic into our airspace..?? and not waste the empty airport..?? Is someone really doing something about it..?? or just hot air again..!

So how does one get outta Yarmouth.. if the need arises..?? We drive..!! we take a shuttle..! we go on land..! in the event of evacuation .. there is really nothing that the Yarmouthian can do.. but sit and wait.. for the highways to be cleared.

Parents Should Demand Changes

Yes..! i agree totally..! Canadians.. are striking and making big hoo-hoos for all the wrong reasons..! but when it concerns the health of the future generation.. where is the hoo-haas..?? This generation and the future needs help and rescue from illnesses later in life. We need to teach our kids about the merits of healthy eating by using trips to the farm and school gardens.

Stop the junk food selling in schools.. PLEASEEEEE…!! Obesity is an epidemic in Canada, it “causes terrible social and psychological problems for children and leads to serious illnesses later in life”

So We Are Really Meeting

So the town is really meeting up tonite.. ! i read on CJLS..!! Is it gonna make a difference..?? the rich and the powerful.. now versus the town councils..! You really think the rich and powerful cares two hoot about the ordinary ppl in this town..?? Pffftttt..!!! i seriously doubt..!!! A petition has been circulated..!! i was all for signing it.. but not now.. when I read yesterday.. that the rich and power will be representing the ppl opposing it. It’s a circus here..!!
