This Is A Freaking Joke!

Once again this town has got geniuses running it..! You just wouldn’t believe .. how “smart” they are..!!

They are changing the region to be known as “Yarmouth and Acadian Shores Travelway” to give hope to the worst ever tourism season of the century. Different name in all their brochures but the same kinda stuff.. and this will boost tourism and the economy of a fast failing town..???!!!?? GEEEEENNNIUUUUSSSS..!!!!

These ppl are sitting on their brains for far too long, and they must be on crack to think that changing the names in brochures, advertisement and thus spending another 10K to change the names on these brochures and advertisement.. and hire someone (prolly someone’s kid in advertising who is in the council) to reword another 50 words on the brochures .. for a few thousand dollars. How is it gonna help this town.. and tourism here..?? GENIUUUSESSS..!!!

We bought this on Sunday for Chloe from the Dollar Store.. but now I’m wondering .. if i should let her use it. They are cutleries from Disney and of course.. i’m sure .. made in China even though.. i haven’t checked it out. But you know lah.. Dollar Store right.. so wherelse can they come from..? I think i better not let her use it.. afterall .. gotta put in her mouth.. better be safe than sorry..! with so many stuff going on .. with China products .. and things manufactured from China.

Made-in-China products scrutinized

Do you have made in China toys ..?? On Tuesday, Mattel issued a recall of 844,000 toys, including Barbie accessories, GeoTrax toys and Bongo Band sets. Manufacturers and importers who fail to guarantee product safety will be getting stiffer fines according to Canadian Consumer Association.

We too have a supplier that sell us dollar store stuff .. in Canada, I think we better stop buying from them .. in the meantime, afterall China’s ambassador to Canada said importers along with manufacturers should share the blame. Now that’s CRAZY TALK ! .. like my 3.5yrs old would tell the China’s ambassador. The importer has a specification given, if the standards were too high.. then the china manufacturers just should take the order.. instead of harming more than 1000s of innocent children.

Everyone is On Vacation

Well.. guess what.. ?? Aunt Helena is in Toronto again..!! woohoo..! lucky old gal..! She was up in Maine with Aunt Sandra and Uncle Garth.. for the blue grass festival.. and then she headed to Toronto to visit her children. Impromptu decision .. i heard.

And Aunt Sandra and Uncle Garth is in Europe for 2 weeks .. on Vacation..!!! and us.. we didn’t go nowhere.. during the summer.. not even upper clements park. And guess who promised.. that we would at least get outta town this summer..!! Arrrrggghhh..!!

Mother The Suspect Now

I find it really sad.. when any child is involved.. and the parents are the one who have actually done the worst to the kid. I read about Madeline McCaan’s mother being the current suspect of her death and can only think of how i would react if Chloe had gone missing this way.

I think if it ever happen to me.. my world would crumble to sawdust.. and i would be completely deflated.. lost and not myself anymore. I donch understand how can anyone do this to a little kid.. who is defenseless and innocent. I think whoever kidnapped Maddie or killed her is a MONSTER..! and if speculation proofs correct about Maddie’s mother.. i would be more than sad for Maddie than angry, because i cannot in my entire life and being imagine someone doing bad stuff to a kid.

And MONSTERS are supposed to be killed horribly and die a horrible death. That is my wish for whoever hurt innocent kids.

Ghost Baby

This morning.. after my shower.. Chloe came into my bedroom to show me her “ghost baby” …!! Eeeeewwwkkkk..!! eeeeriiieee..!! she was making the motion of carrying the “ghost baby” and all.. and even when i warned her not to do that.. she still continued.. doing so.

PB asked her .. where she learned it from.. but she wouldn’t say.. and even when we were getting into the car.. to come into the store.. she was still carrying her baby. What a weird thing to do eh..?? wonder..!!

Master Procrastinator

Both of sunglasses and my spare glasses had been sitting in the car dashboard for almost a year. Why you asked..?? Because the screw came out for the sunglass and the spare glasses, the handle just came off one day. Luckily I have other glasses and sunglasses.. so it didn’t bother me.. that we didn’t go fix it.. for the longest time. I think i had meant to do it ..for like a year now.. muahahahahha!!

And guess what..?? the optician is just directly opposite our store.. and see what kind of procrastinator I am.. ?? Well.. finally today.. PB brought it over to the optician and got both glasses fixed finally .. and the replacement of the handles cost $15.00 and PB took the opportunity to change his too.

Master Procrastinator .. that I am.. ! if i claimed to be #2 at procrastinating.. i doubt anyone dare to claim #1… muahahahha!!!

Charged for Missed Appointments

If you live in Canada.. you can be charged.. if you miss your dental appointments (we have been charged before) and now the doctors in Alberta are also charging their patients who don’t show up for their appointment. They say this is because of the rising cost of running a medical office in the province.

So what happens.. if you got too sick.. during the nite.. and had to go to the hospital in the middle of the nite..?? and can’t see the doctor first thing in the morning.. because you were in the hospital till 7am in the morning.. and had gone home to rest..??

I see the doctors donch make enough money already..?? that they have to charge for missed appts. One doctor claimed that she had to sit for half hour waiting for her patient.. who were no show. So she cannot see those that are already there..?? These ppl are wierd..!

You See How Smart This Town Is

I was late in buying my local paper this week. If you donch know by now, we only have 1 paper once a week. And guess what I found out with our local paper today..?? A whole section of dedicated 20 pages to Dwight Deon..!! the Canadian Idol Finalized..!!! Yes.. once a week the paper comes out.. with less than 100 pages.. and 20 pages all on Dwight Deon…!! i have nothing against Dwight Deon mind you .. ! but you can see .. where our ppl in this town.. and the news people see their priorities are..!

Not on the warning of the hurricane that might be coming our way.. not on how many Canadian soldier losing their life .. in Afghan .. but on a homeboy made good.. in the entertainment industry. I figured even 5 pages on Dwight is way too much.. but nope.. 20 pages is what Dwight Deon commanded. Well done.. Yarmouth… !!

YMCA too EX

YMCA is just across our store.. not far.. and yet.. we rarely go to YMCA because yearly membership is very expensive at about 900 bucks a year. I know they are planning for some upgrade, and Barrie MacGregor is someone that we do know, he is the executive director and apparently their new and star project is a new aquatic center.

With the changing of times, they want the new Y to be more user friendly but it is really too expensive a membership to pay and i’m not willing to part with 900 bucks.. unless it’s an exclusive club. I donch even think the Y have WiFi or a cafe outlet .. in this town. Certainly quite different from our YMCA back home.

Now if they have a Starbucks.. with free WiFi for all its member.. maybe.. just maybe.. i might think of joining, just to get away.. and write in peace for a couple of hours.. muahahhaha!!
