Millionaire..?? Not Me For Sure

Someone just became a millionaire overnite.. winning the 649 lottery in Yarmouth. Yes.. !! woohoo..!! but it’s not us.. 🙁 else we will be on the next plane home to Singapore. Yes.. a long holiday.. to take care of my fibroids.. and visit everyone on the blogosphere., that I’ve become so fond of… and good friends of.

Well.. the 4.5 millionaire is a young fisherman from Pubnico. Congrats..!! but i wished it was us. .muahahhhahaa!!! It is a good sign for Yarmouth.. because no one has won so big .. for ages. So there is hope.. no..??

Branded School..??

If we were back in Singapore.. I would have no hesitation in putting Chloe into one of our neighbourhood school. I have great fear .. when it comes to branded schools.. like the one that i was used to going. My mom had lined up overnite.. so that me and my sister would get a place in Marymount Convent. And that was the biggest mistake she ever made and i never wanna subject my brat to something like that.

The students in the school were all rich.. their parents are judges .. and businessmen.. or some big shot..! wherelse.. my family situation .. was really pathetic. My mum didn’t even have money to change new uniforms for us every year.. and had to be called in by the principle all the time.. because of our short skirt. It certainly didn’t give us an edge.. when we went to Marymount.. in fact.. we were slighted.. and laughed at.. and made fun of .. by our classmates.. and teachers.. alike.

So which brings us back to whether.. i should just let Chloe go to the south end school (that everyone say it is bad) or Meadowfields.. for French Immersion..??

Why Do They Do That..??

While many like Gerald and Kim go all the way to China.. to give love to children.. who do not have anyone to love, here we have reports of a man leaving his 3 and 1 year old to die in the cold.

Another abandoned a 7 or 8 months old baby face down on the freezing cement landing of an outdoor parking garage stairwell. Video camer shows a man leaving the baby on the stairs. How can anyone be so cruel..? as to do that..?? These babies are so innocent. I cannot imagine us doing this to chloe.. even till today.. she is every ounce of preciousness to all of us. It leaves me heavy hearted to see that there are monsters in our society.

Do They Really Start Younger..?

Met a couple of friends at the mall on Sunday.. and was told by them.. that their only 10 yrs old kid.. is starting to behave like a much older teenager.. with all the tantrums.. being rebellious and the works.. that we ourselves were doing . .when we were kids. But according to her mum.. she didn’t think she started so young. .and neither did i. So here i am wondering.. if they do mature faster here..?? or is it just the generation..?? Boy..! i am so not looking forward to that with the brat man..!

BabySitter Sexually Assault 12 Yr old Boy

Shocking..! very..!! but this is my view.. and my 2 cents worth. Let me just state first and foremost that whatever might have had happened.. it was wrong for the babysitter to have sex with the kid.

12 yrs old kids here .. are fairly mature in my opinion. They know the right from wrong.. and some 12 yrs old boys that i know here.. knows alot more than the birds and the bees. According to this kid.. he and the babysitter had sex for more than 100 times… and that’s alot… of sex.. considering with someone who doesn’t wanna have sex with his babysitter..??

I can’t say.. i see it as an assault.. but the kid was 12 yrs old.. and it’s wrong.. whether.. he was just a curious teenager.. or not. As the adult.. it must be her who initiated it.. or if not.. she should have stopped it there and then. By not doing so.. and taking advantage of the curiosity of a growing teenage boy.. I’ll have to say.. she deserved the 2.5 yrs sentence. What is your view on it..??

More Babies On The Way

Yes.. any surprised ..?? I shouldn’t be .. after so many years in this small town. We met a friend .. who just recently got divorced.. and the first thing she had asked.. was the # for the Justice of Peace.. who happened to be PB’s cousin .. and who had witness her first marriage. I am definitely happy for her.. because this guy she met .. who is very English.. is someone really nice.. for sure nicer than her ex. I really liked him anyways.. but since she was PB’s longest friend’s ex-wife.. i guess .. because of the sense of loyalty.. he kinda.. didn’t say much… even though i was raving about her new man. And she also have a baby on his/her way. So yes.. more babies soon in this town.

A Whale Walked Into Our Store

Yes.. i saw a whale walked into our store this afternoon. No kidding..!! And an ugly one at that..!

I told my FIL about it.. and he said.. “whales don’t have feet!” and my reply was .. “this one does..!” It’s terrible.. !! how does someone who is less than 25 yrs old.. become this big?? and I had asked PB .. how did the whale get to buy her clothings..?? in which PB replied.. that “this is a FAT country, you know..!”

Nah.. i wasn’t making fun of the whale because she is big.. or fat .. but because she did us a great injustice.. and yet.. always have the cheek.. to come back to our store… all the time… after bad-mouthing us. I donch even know why PB would help her out everytime.

PS: Btw, this whale was the one who told my customers that we didn’t have to pay for our car, because it’s under the company’s name. And also this whale called immigration on us, and told immigration .. PB fired her.. because he hired an illegal immigrant (yours truly) to take over her position. What a sin..! This whale was the one, that I had helped with my own money, loaned her to pay for her rent when her then b/f ran out on her!

The “ang mohs” hor.. loves to work with their hands. They can really do stuff. My father in law and brother in law Richard hired a wood mizer .. for $35.00 an hour to make their own lumber.. from the trees in the woods that my father in law owns. I donch know if it was cheaper.. to do it this way.. or to go out to Homehardware to buy the lumber.. but after 10 hrs of work.. they did get alot done. Not ready for building yet.. but looks like someone is gonna be busy this summer.

Good Folks

Good folks are hard to come by in this town.. and those that we had thought were nice and decent.. turned out to be so, so disappointing and heartbreaking..! But of late, we found another gem for a friend. Not only is Brian and his wife great.. their children are playmates to Chloe. Today they bought a gift for chloe.. and had purposely dropped in so the kids can play together for abit. And also they are so nice.. because as soon as chloe needed to have lunch. .they promptly said their good byes. Now isn’t that considerate.. 😉 i so love friends like that.. 🙂

We Are Good Bosses

Since Chloe was sick since yesterday.. and became full blown in the middle of the nite.. we already knew that we will not let Keegan babysit .. because we didn’t want to get Keegan ill too. So as soon as Keegan entered the store today.. we stopped her quickly at the door.. so that Chloe doesn’t go near to her … and pass her the germs.

We sent Keegan on her way home.. as quickly as possible.. because we didn’t want to get Keegan sick… simple. But you see a year or so ago.. Ms Selfish told the unemployment office.. that we treated her like a plague when she was ill. It was so stupid of her to have said something like that.. because it’s the same concept.. when one of us was ill.. we would have quickly left.. the store.. so we donch pass anything to anyone.. not to our employees or the customers. We are good ppl .. and ppl to say stuff like that.. they should really be in a psychotic ward.
