Exotic Fruits Are EX

Yes..you must all think i am going bonkers.. to call this china pear an exotic fruit. But over here in Canada.. it is considered an exotic fruit.. and not many people has eaten it.. even though they have it on sale at Sobeys. But it is damn expensive .. man..!! For something like this back home.. when we pay $0.40 for it.. we already make so much noise.. but guess how much i paid for this..?? in Canadian dollars please.. hor..! $1.45 for one. In China. .we get a dozen for USD$1 only. So you tell me lah.. Exotic fruit or not..??

Ready. Get Set.

Hotel booked.. checked out the opening times for the sushi place and dim sum place. Weather checked and still looking good. Car checked and tires aligned. Employees in place for Saturday and Monday. Threw out all the bad food. Carpenter was here for the french door. It’s gloomy here.. and we are expecting flurries.. but lets hope.. it clears later tonite.

I didn’t get my haircut yet.. now waxing my eyebrows.. but oh well.. Halifax have to take me.. as i am… muahahhaa!! as if anyone is gonna notice me..muahhahaha!!

Frosty Ferns

I think alot of folks .. are almost done decorating.. and shopping for Christmas.. but as usual.. and as you can see.. we are terrible.. when it comes to the festive season. As much as i hate decorating.. you know that we can’t escape from it at all. And the worst part is.. we have the stores.. and the house to decorate.. ! not easy .. at all.. not easy..! Frosty ferns.. may help a wee bit with my decorating, for i still haven’t come up with a theme yet.

2.5 Yrs Late Medical Clinic

This town is a joke.. ! but i’m sure you all know that already. On today’s local papers.. it said.. that the now defunct liquor store will have the medical clinic up and running by December. When the liquor store moved to Starrs Road, they said.. that it was going to be a “free” clinic .. because of the shortage of doctors, so having this clinic will allow those that does not already have a doctor get a chance to see one when necessary.

Pad Thai

You know .. when you donch have the luxury of getting food at your whim and fancy .. you’ll take anything that is available.. and hope for the best. So here I am.. saw the Pad Thai in our local grocery store.. i pounced onto it.. and grabbed it. At 4.99 a bowl.. it wasn’t the real thing.. but it had to do for now. My consolation was at least.. it had lots of chicken.. even though it wasn’t spicy at all.

Party Princess

Chloe was invited to Sara’s birthday party .. and because bot Gerald and Adele are the most wonderful folks that I’ve met since coming to Canada.. we postponed our trip to Halifax.. so we can attend the birthday. Chloe did good at the party. .and she really had fun.. with so many little kids. Unfortunately, the party folks at Macdonalds sure pale against the ones we have back home. But that’s another story altogether.

Missing the Parade Of Lights

Well.. what do you know..! since we didn’t go up to Halifax last weekend.. we missed the Parade of Lights.. up there.. ! and if we go this weekend.. we are gonna miss the Parade of Lights in town.. ! what a bummer..!!

I would have really liked to see the one in Halifax.. since we’ve been talking about it.. for a close 5 YEARS..!! yes.. and as always.. because of the business.. because of obligations.. we never did make it..! what a real bummer..!!

Happy 5th Birthday, Sara

Isn’t she beautiful..? 5 yrs old Sara.. 🙂 how time flies..! where has all these years gone.. I asked myself. When Sara was coming to Canada.. 4 yrs ago.. i was really excited for her parents. They flew to China.. and brought her home.. and Sara has always been a very shy kid.. but she is very smart..! and when alone with Chloe.. they have fun. Sara is truly blessed.. because she has a pair of parents.. who are such wonderful folks.. but of course .. Gerald and Adele are equally blessed with having Sara too.

The Ang Mohs Got No Mortein or Ridsect

Yup.. the angmohs donch believe in spraying mortein or ridsect and plus i can’t find anything like this here. And having a toddler at home.. doesn’t leave you much choice at all.. coz’ you can’t use it.. when they are around. So what do ang mohs used.. during fly season..?? I swear the flies are so bad on the highway.. that you would think it was raining.. but in fact.. it was raining insects. Yes.. ang mohs uses fly traps.. !! great invention!! only at $1 ..!
