There are loads of blogging mummies out there.. and some have very young children.. and some are having another coming. The reason why I am concerned is because when Chloe was about 6 months old.. we brought her up to Halifax.. because I needed a check up in IWK hospital for my immigration work. The hotel that we stayed in did have a playpen .. for Chloe to sleep in .. and I think .. it’s the same that was mentioned in the news today.
“Parents received a stern warning Tuesday to check their children’s playpens after an 11-month-old British Columbia boy died earlier this month.”
If you have a Century Fold-N-Go Playard, model numbers 710 and 810, please immediately take it apart and discard it!! The playpen collapsed into a V-shape and restricted the baby’s airway. Sure it was a freak accident.. but one that can be prevented. Sometimes as mums we get busy with doing housework.. and other things.. on the puter.. and just a second or two, could caused you to regret for life. Therefore when buying anything for Chloe .. when she was much younger.. i was very long winded.. and had to make sure.. that everything was sturdy and all, I tell yer.. PB got really exasperated .. and must think i am paranoid.. ! but i rather he thinks i am paranoid.. or crazy.. than to risk the life of my daughter.
So for those who travels alot.. and stay in hotels alot.. please donch depend on the hotel to provide you with a playpen.. but bring your own.. the one that you can rely on. The one that chloe had was .. Costco Junior… and Chloe slept in it for almost 8months. But this one doesn’t collapse to fold.. you have to lift it up from the bottom.
Take note, parents..! collapsible playpen can kill..! donch wait to regret it. Check your playpen now..! is it safe for your precious babies..??
