Yes.. they say .. beggars cannot be choosers.. but this is the worst ever sushi, I have eaten. At 4.99 for 8 pieces of sushi, I thought it was really expensive but nevermind lah.. i told myself.. if the sushi was good, no problem at all. At 4.99 this would cost an food blogger in malaysia a close 15 ringgit. And you and I know for 15 ringgit you can get way better than this. The rice was soggy, it looked like chinese porridge cramped together and the filing were cheap carrots and fish sticks and only 2 were wrapped up with seaweeds. On top of it.. every piece had some wasabi in it, thus making it impossible for a child to eat.
The presentation was great of course… and they had 2 pieces of ginger only in the box .. but everything else went downhill as soon as I took the first bite.. ! i still continued eating the second one bravely, but i just couldn’t stomach such poor quality sushi. I knew that i shouldn’t have bought it.. and had refused to buy it for months.. since they first have had it. But I bit the bullet .. and told myself.. i’ll have to try it to know it.. and boy ..! this is the worst disappointment in food I’ve ever had.
I assure you this is not sushi.. good folks at SOBEYS..!! You wanna try real sushi.. around or near our town.. go to DHARMA SUSHI in Argle Street, Halifax..! How can you good folks.. at SOBEYS .. put something like that out for sale..! What a mis-representation of sushi.. to those who have never eaten sushi before. Sobeys is a trusted and quality name in the whole of Atlantic Canada .. and never did i expect this kind of quality of food from Sobeys. What a disappointment!
