Chloe was invited to Sara’s birthday party .. and because bot Gerald and Adele are the most wonderful folks that I’ve met since coming to Canada.. we postponed our trip to Halifax.. so we can attend the birthday. Chloe did good at the party. .and she really had fun.. with so many little kids. Unfortunately, the party folks at Macdonalds sure pale against the ones we have back home. But that’s another story altogether.
This is for Stella, from Sweet Temptations..! i just wanted to show her.. that we do have this as well here.. but only in can form.. not like the fresh ones she gets.. 😉 Stella had written a post about how she made some dishes with it. Check it out here.
It’s funny how.. one can remember .. what another wrote.. and go all excited.. when i see something similar.
I guess when one becomes a mummy, you tend to splurge on your kid .. but not on yourself. Raise your hands.. if you are like me..?? I’m sure all mummies and daddies are the same. But because we travel quite a bit.. for work.. this Christmas, I am going to pamper myself a wee bit.. and get myself a new laptop for Christmas. A loaded laptop at killer price, that’s what i want.
Last nite the brat made an improvement, at about 3am.. she came out of her bedroom.. all soaked..! usually i would have to go in and check on her before i go to bed.. but last nite.. she woke herself up.. and she said.. it was because she had a bad dream.
So maybe it was an improvement..?? maybe not..?? i’m really hoping that with the feeling of discomfort from being all wet, she would wake up and pee in the toilet instead.. from now on. One can always be hopeful eh..?
After a quite disappointing Ocean 12 .. i was quite reluctant to watch Ocean 13 but with Al Pacino in it.. how can one resist right..?? The usual cast was in the show and another heist planned because casino owner – Al Pacino double crosses one of the original Ocean 11. Revenge is a funny thing.. so they say. But how nice it would be.. if for every wrong .. someone do to you .. you get even.
Beddings are great gifts for folks like us who have harsh winters. One can hardly go wrong with beddings for gifts. Even though we run electric for heat during winter, to heat the whole room up is way more expensive than having some electric blankets.
My mother-in-law had offered King Supersoft Electric Blankets for this year’s Christmas gift, since we had a king size bed not knowing that we don’t share blankets. But i’m sure she will be able to find some single ones for us, if she is keen on it. And they even have Hannah Montana sheets that I had been looking for my niece who is a great rock star fan.. ! Now everyone is going to be happy.
Buying presents are hard..! you don’t want to buy just any presents for someone, you want it to be thoughtful.. and something that person can use for a long, long time. And don’t you just hate it, when the person tells you they have everything.. they need, and don’t want any presents.. ?? But seriously, how many of us have received gifts that we would never use even in the next lifetime..? That is why we have popular gift cards to the rescue.
Giving holiday gift cards are the best thing one can do, because you not only give the receiver a chance to get what they really one, they can pick the right size, the right color .. and no hassle whatsoever with changing the gift after christmas or a birthday or an anniversary.
And what’s best about gift cards online are, you don’t have to rush out to the mall in the cold weather .. in the snow to get presents for your love ones anymore.. and they too can enjoy not having to rush out in the cold to meet datelines of returning stuff they don’t like.
Well.. what do you know..! since we didn’t go up to Halifax last weekend.. we missed the Parade of Lights.. up there.. ! and if we go this weekend.. we are gonna miss the Parade of Lights in town.. ! what a bummer..!!
I would have really liked to see the one in Halifax.. since we’ve been talking about it.. for a close 5 YEARS..!! yes.. and as always.. because of the business.. because of obligations.. we never did make it..! what a real bummer..!!
Torn in between doing the right thing and the thing I want.. and that is to go up to the city this weekend… we chose once again to do the right thing. To go to Sarah’s birthday.. because we love her.. and her parents.. and to wait for Godma Lynn to come from Toronto.
And it’s also mainly because I am still having my menses.. and the weather isn’t really lighting up. So Yes.. we as usual.. are doing the right thing.
