Everyone thinks that being your own boss or owning your own store is easy and wonderful. Let me tell you it isn’t at all. Like my neighbour said, you have so much money one day from sales.. but you also gotta spend that much on taxes and payroll. Franchise opportunity are great but alot of sacrifices is called for when you want to be your own boss.
Fussy & El Cheapo
Those who knows us, knows that we have always been looking out at getting new curtains for the entire house. For 3 yrs in this new home of ours, we finally did get some for 2 rooms, one for the living room.. and one for the tv room. . and we only bought them because they were at half price. Yes.. ! you heard me right..! i never buy anything .. unless they are at 50% discount. El cheapo..?? yes..!
Picking Flowers On Mother’s Day
We won’t buy flowers on occasions like this .. because they are way too expensive. So the mother-in-law allowed the brat to pick some flowers for me.. just before we left for home. But she needs 2 of course.. instead of just one.. because one is for herself… muahahahah!!
She didn’t know how to break the tulips.. so grampie came over to help her pick two of them.
Home Furnishing
Decorating and furnishing the house is what we woman do best. We are always up to something, and by simply changing the window blinds or curtains one can make a room look completely different and set an entirely different ambiance to fit your needs. Yes.. !! i have an appointment with “God” later at noon. I was surprised to receive a call from his secretary . .but apparently. .she had tried calling me at the store in the mornings. But i’m sure we have the message thingie on our store’s phone . .and the message does say we are only opened for business at noon.
Oh well..! at least i get to see him .. and i expect .. i’ll have to wait for an hour or two maybe.. to REALLY get to see him. Wish me luck.. my “GOD” is my gynecologist. Yes.. it is harder to get an appointment to see my gynae than to really see God himself.
Happy Mother’s Day
Being a mother is not easy..! Tell me about it..! 4 yrs into Motherhood.. and i’m still blur, blur.. and still very panicky. Being a good mother requires alot of help. The man, the in-laws, the babysitter – Keegan, the godmother.. and everyone around us plays a very important part in making me a good mother. Without them, I wouldn’t have kept my sanity. The juggling.. the struggling and the housekeeping can certainly make anyone crazy, and I’m sure you can relate with me… when I tell you .. how many times.. we are closed to losing it.. and wanting to scream. Well.. maybe, I’m more dramatic.
Motherhood is very trying..! there is absolutely no free time.. for us, if there is.. we already have a million things we need to follow up on. Ultimately, we all know that motherhood comes with alot of responsibilities. Some cope well with it .. because they love their children more than themselves.. while others.. well.. lets just say .. they didn’t get as much help as you and I did. Whatever the reason/s .. whatever the struggle .. I know that you and I would never change it for anything. Ultimately… seeing my child hug and squeeze her Papa & me . .makes it all worthwhile. If I had to turn the clock back.. i wouldn’t have it any other ways.
To all mothers out there in the blogosphere.. I salute you all.. because Motherhood is darn tough..!! but we all survived.. and will continue to love being a Mother..! because we love our kids..! HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY..!!
Blinds or Curtains..??
I’m sure you all know that i love to decorate my house .. and am trying to make it look presentable.. that way I can entertain friends and family. Summer is the best time.. i think to do BBQs.. and I really want a family gathering. We were quite undecided whether to stick to blinds
or curtains for our windows.. because the curtains sold here didn’t have the right sizes we want. To specially order them would cost us a small fortune. In the end we decided to only dress one room at the time. What about you ..?? you have blinds or curtains..??
The Famous Yarmouth Fog
Yes.. this is the famous Yarmouth Fog. Even during the summer.. we get alot of fog .. making visibility really bad. Quite used to it by now.. but still donch like it at all. We have many days like this here.. and very lil’ days.. where we can go out in the backyard.. and enjoy the golf course.
This is right in front of our house.. at about 6pm yesterday. And you think summer was just round the corner. Living in Y-Town.. doesn’t surprised us.. when the weather turns this way.

Keegan’s Lil’ Helper
Whenever I am home alone with Chloe and start cooking for her dinner.. she would asked to help me cut the corns. Most of her meals has got corn in it.. because she loves it. Of course i would say “no” in which her reply was . .that Keegan would let her cut the corn up. I didn’t think too, too much of it.. thinking that Keegan must have given her something plastic to play with.. to cut the corn up.
Guess i was wrong.. and wasn’t paying too, too much attention to what the brat had to say. See.. she was really cutting up some corns.. with a butter knife. And Keegan was watching over her. And the brat was very serious about doing her job right too.
And doing a darn good job too..!
